Adie Hale
Associate Director, Guernsey
Adie has over 35 years’ financial crime experience and in-depth knowledge and operational experience of the Bailiwick’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism and Proliferation (AML/CFT/CFP) legal and regulatory framework.
Previously Head of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), Adie has worked closely and collaboratively with the other Bailiwick AML/CFT/CFP authorities, regulated and non-regulated businesses, non-profit organisations, and other Government bodies and authorities at both an operational and policy level. He has also represented the Bailiwick in international forums, including the EGMONT Group of FIUs, CARIN Asset Recovery Network, Quad FIU Forum and the Council of Europe’s permanent monitoring body MONEYVAL.
Adie’s primary focus is developing and implementing the Guernsey compliance strategy and he is also responsible for reviewing and updating Redwood’s foundation compliance policies, procedures and controls. In addition to holding MLRO and MLCO named roles for various licensees, Adie provides clients with expert advice and guidance on wide-ranging compliance matters and assists with internal reporting to Group boards.
Adie’s professional qualifications include ICA certification in bribery and corruption, sanctions and AML. He has also accomplished FATF 5thround MER assessor training.
